The companies that have found their way during the early years of legal cannabis in the United States, are making moves. Now, they are looking for opportunities in states that are new adopters of legal cannabis. I have continued to watch one specific company in WA state that are looking to expand into OR, CA, and CO. They have a solid core group of staff who knows every part of the process for their business and it's documented, which is so important. Since federal law is still against cannabis, when you consider expansion, you have to create another "you" in every state. This means your entire process with all the details to the nth degree have to be documented and followed. It's kinda like the franchise model of current business. The future will see many new companies try to buy-out the companies that survive. My hope is independent operators continue to flourish in the industry and maintain their course to make the most of what they have started.
